Sun

The Sun is a dwarf star (yellow dwarf). It is the closest to the Earth and forms the center of the solar system. It contains 99.86% of the mass of the solar system. Its diameter is 1.4 million kilometers, about 110 times the size of the Earth. The surface of the sun shows a varying number of sunspots, which are related to strong magnetic fields. Among other phenomena, they are called solar activity.
