Moon

The moon was my first photo subject with my telescope. For me it is always worth a shot, although there are so many other objects in space. I am always thrilled when I look at the moon through the telescope.
The moon orbits the earth in an average of 27 days, 7 hours and 43.7 minutes. It orbits the Earth from west to east in the same sense of rotation. Its apparent orbit of the Earth is about 50 minutes longer than 24 hours. This adds up to a full day in a month, since the Moon actually orbits the Earth once during that time. Distance to the earth is 384,400 km.

The image was created from 4x videos each 2000 frames which were taken with an ASI 120 MC-S Color.
Processed with “PIPP” and saved as SER-File.
Afterwards the 4 SER-Files were stacked with “AutoStakkert” to one image each. The 4 resulting images were merged to one image with Image Composite Editor,
With “Astra Image” the air turbulence can be calculated out and postprocessed with Adobe Photoshop Elements.
